Published by Simon & Schuster in New York simultaneously with the regular first trade edition. Book in mint condition in white cloth with title, author and "Limited Edition" in gilt on the spine, covers decorated in blind, red initials and rules throughout text. Book enclosed in a sound light brown slipcase, mildly scuffed, scratched and rubbed with label on spine containing title and edition no. This posthumous work was originally written in 1849 for his children; Dickens had no intention of having it published. After his death the manuscript was in the possession of his sister-in-law, Georgina Hogarth.
