Chicago and Western Indiana Belt RR Adams & Westlake Marker Lamp-Pre 1882!

Description: This is a super-rare Chicago and Western Indiana Belt Railroad Adams and Westlake steam locomotive marker lamp. This railroad, along with the South Chicago and Western Indiana Railroad, merged on January 26, 1882 to form the Chicago and Western Indiana Railroad, so we can be positive that this lantern was made in 1881 or earlier. It is cast on the rim with C & W.I. BELT R.R. Has one clear, original glass lenses with no chips or cracks, as well as a peephole lens. The Adams and Westlake maker's hallmark is also cast into the side of the lantern. Side door opens to reveal the original Adams and Westlake fount with its burner. A wonderful piece that is nearly impossible to find! Where and when will you find another?
