Description: CHIEF SEATTLE - Learning From The Wheel ©1993 BRAND NEW CD in shrink-wrap. This is the first release from the Atlanta, GA based folk-rock band with all original songs. Michael Koepenick and Paul Bonesteel formed Chief Seattle as an acoustic duo playing the open mic scene in '91 and '92. They soon after formed a full band with Thomas Minton on bass and Harold Sellers on drums. The songs were produced and recorded by the legendary Dede Vogt at her Sound and Fury studios. This album contains the song "I Am A Savage" which was written by Koepenick using the translated words of speech given by Chief Seattle in the late 1800's. That speech and lots of other Native American history books and novels led to the inspiration to name the band Chief Seattle. Since the band was mostly playing mostly Native American themed and socially conscious leaning music, it seemed to make sense. We only pressed 500 CD's and these are the last few that we have left. Michael Koepenick founded creative video company Guillotine and plays music with his band Dangerous Basement and lives in Decatur, GA.
