Description: Outstanding Chippendale-style mahogany camel back sofa. 20th century and probably Kittinger (according to Brunk Auctions appraiser). Arched back, rolled arms, serpentine front rail and set on carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. Upholstered with beautiful slate blue damask upholstery. 38 x 88 x 32 inches. Condition: The sofa is in excellent condition and completely solid. There is only slight wear to the upholstery (see pictures). The worst thing I can find is a small 1/8 inch diameter wax dripping (I think that is what it is) on the fabric that is barely noticeable and may be removable (see last picture). There are some abrasions on the knees and feet. I believe these could be hidden with Old English furniture polish if you choose. Update: I just put Old English on the feet and they look great. The last four pictures shows the feet in their current condition. This is a beautiful sofa. True story--after I purchased it I was contacted by Leigh Keno who wanted to buy it from me. I chose not to, but at this point we are redecorating with a different color scheme. You can pick it up or arrange for a shipping company to pick it up from my house.
