Description: Cincinnati, Ohio 165-BW 1a, R-6 in Fuld 3rd. Ed., copper. The obverse shows Dr. H. H. Hill & Co., Dealers in Drugs and Medicines, S.E. Corner 5th & Race Sts., Cincinnati, O. The reverse shows an Indian head facing left, with stars around, and the date, 1862, below. Both sides are medium to dark brown color. On the reverse, behind the Indian's head, there is some type of surface irregularity. I can't say how to describe it, if it is metal loss that was that way from the time of striking of if it came later. The face and the cheek of the Indian head shows no wear or contact, so it seems less likely to be marks that came from a piece being in circulation.
