Description: ORIGINAL 1966 1st JAPANESE RELEASE CITIZEN KANE MEDIA PRESS KIT ©1941 Mercury Productions REALLY RARE, REALLY EARLY CITIZEN KANE MOVIE PIECE JAPANESE MOVIE PAMPHLETS AND BOOKLETS Vintage Japanese pamphlets and booklets are typically available in limited quantities by theaters at the time of the original theatrical release of the film in Japan. What makes these Japanese cinema memorablia so desirable is that they are, for the most part, in full-color, are intricately designed and published featuring artwork, characters, and scenes from the film. These cinema memorabilia not only serve as a physical memento of the movie going experience in Japan, but also considered very collectibles if their condition is preserved properly as well as their rarity, limited availability, movie popularity, aesthetic appeal and pamphlet design. It is indeed very rare to find a totally complete movie pamphlet or booklet that is in “like new” condition. Here is an ORIGINAL MOVIE MEDIA PRESS KIT, custom designed and printed in Japan, for Ambassador Theater Group's (ATG) 1st Japanese release in 1966 for Orson Well's classic movie CITIZEN KANE. Orson Welles *revolutionized cinema with this first feature film in 1941 co-writing, producing, directing and starring. CITIZEN KANE also starred Joseph Cotton, Everett Sloane, Ray Collins, George Coulouris, Agnes Moorehead, Paul Stewart and Dorothy Cummingore. The movie was distributed by RKO Radio Pictures and Mercury Productions. The media kit was issued by Yurakuza Theater Tokyo, Japan when CITIZEN KANE was first released on June 14, 1966 and was used by journalists, reviewers, and other media. The kit includes information about the movie, such as the cast, distribution, screenplay, and adaptation. It also features the movie's director, Orson Wells, and producer, William Rose. The media kit is a valuable piece of entertainment memorabilia for movie enthusiasts and collectors. Shipping is available at no additional charge within the continental USA. The movie tells the audience the ending in the beginning, so the movie uses flashbacks. Orson Wells also made further cinematic advances on many fronts, and its most significant contribution to cinematography came from the use of a technique known as deep focus and, on a technical level, is important for the innovative lighting and focusing methods of it's cinematographers, Gregg Toland, and the dramatic editing style of Robert Wise. It was Orson Wells' debut as a film director and it has been hailed by many critics as one of the greatest movies of all time. Following evaluation guide by POSTERS FROM JAPAN ■ Subjective Appearance evaluation [EXC] * See below Grade Description Mint Brand new, unused, flawless is the true meaning of a TRUE MINT ITEM. We, fundamentally, only sell original and authentic “USED” Japanese theater movie tickets as stipulated above under JAPANESE MOVIE TICKETS. But, by this very definition, this grade of MINT, if used herein, shall be considered "LIKE NEW and ESSENTIALLY FLAWLESS", but 'USED” and therefore cannot be considered TRUE MINT. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Near Mint Our top grade...most Japanese movie tickets fall within this category. No substantial or significant flaws. But, may show very minor signs of handling: soft edges, a light corner fold, minor surface wrinkles. NO SUBSTANTIAL MISSING PIECE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excellent No major, significant flaws that seriously detracts from the movie ticket. Normal condition with a feeling of use over time due to handling or storage. But, may have some of the following: tiny or light corner folds, indentations from storage, very minor tear along boarder only, age discoloration, a single crease from folding over. Most collectors would be happy with this grade. NO SUBSTANTIAL MISSING PIECE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Very Good Has visible defects such as several creases, a small piece missing or an accumulation of minor defects. Details of imperfections will be listed. This grade is still more than suitable for framing but collectors that are fanatical about condition should wait for a better copy to come available. WE RELUCTANTLY STOCK PAPER ITEMS IN THIS GRADE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wrinkles are relatively small, unintentional indentations from general handling (most tickets have wrinkles), but, does not break or cut through the surface of the ticket. Creases are indentations, maybe intentional, which break or cuts through the ticket.
