Description: Civil War M1841 Mississippi Rifle Snell Saber Bayonet. Unmarked. Thumb screw is functional. the folding ring is gone, typical. The blade is straight, has been sharpened, the tip is very sharp, a couple small nicks, and has small pitting scattered throughout. Length of the blade measures 22 3/16" (1 3/8" wide including the notch x 3/8" thick), and the bayonet is 27". Muzzle opening is 7/8". No scabbard. Only 1646 pieces were made.
