Description: This already patented Direct Drive CVT design now carries even more patentable innovations that make it work at perfection. All relevant videos are available at DR1L channel What's New? Redesigned drive geometry guarantees closer and firmer contact between conical roller and the wheel. Hence, %100 usage of available CVT ratios in an efficient manner. %0 slippage and tire degradation. Full power transfer even in wet conditions. Center of gravity of the drive assembly is closer to the bike: Safe parking is standart with the stock stand. Front wheel can stay parallel to rear wheel when parked.Inside the bonnet: Heat treatment of conical roller and shaft, reduction of unbolted mechanical parts to one (conical CVT roller) , Custom made Pull-Pull CVT shifter As cyclists, we had to make this very efficient, lightweight and practical add-on without any permanent alteration to the bike. Engine-drive assembly is bolted to the bike's existing rear V-brake pivot stems. Rear brake is upgraded to U brake and the engine compression. Gas piston, cable routers and U brake mounting profile use bikes existing mounting and routing capacity. Engine can be separated from and engaged to the wheel at any time with a controller. Drive Torque is regulated by two twist shifters: one on the right controls throttle while the other on the left controls conical roller's position on the wheel. Without ever disengaging roller from the wheel you can accelerate by selecting higher ratios gradually or tackle hills by selecting lower ratios. As this combination of throttle and roller control is in your hands, bike drives like a manual motorbike with 16 speeds. Unlike a scooter you can select a higher ratio at low speed for more pleasing engine sound. When the throttle is released engine instantly starts acting as brake as it is in a geared motorbike which makes it very stable. This is due to fact that internal clutch of the engine is not used in the first place. There is no clutch dust, wear and slippage.
