Inside text is in Excellent condition and appears unread and unused. No writings or markings inside or outside the book. Book includes the Author Letter addressed to "Dear Young Reader" from the author. These letters were enclosed to a "Young Readers of America" book club and was included to members. The letter is in Mint condition in the original trifold. Outside cloth covers are very nice! Dust Jacket is nice with some minor soiling primarily to the back cover and minor edge chipping primarily to the top and bottom of the outside spine, but also some along the front and back cover edges. There is a tear of about 1" from the bottom edge of the back cover. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
