Description: Last One...no more planned. Hello. Do you have a:Ten-Tec Omni (A,B,C,D), a Corsair (1 or 2), a Digital Triton, a Digital Century 21 or a Drake TR-5 / 7 whose PTO is beyond physical repair (i.e. - critical parts are 'unobtanium') and / or aDrifting VFO / PTO? Do you want a state-of-the art, drift free, dual digital VFO for your Heath SB-104(A)? Do you want to operate split but don't have the desk space for a separate VFO? Do you want to quickly change your frequency and / or 'tag' DX stations to pounce on them later? If so, this custom designed, fully assembled and tested DDS VFO may be for you. This VFO is ultra stable (can't drift), itoffers two separate VFO's (handy for spotting / tracking DX stations), it provides split operation, RIT, and dial lock and frequency storage on power down / retrieval on power up, and the Tuning is silky smooth at a 10 Hz rate, easily increased to a 1khz for fast QSY's. This proven design uses the AD9850 DDS chip. An additional 7th order Butterworth filter with a 7 mhz cutoff frequency has been provided on the printed circuit board, all followed by a 2 transistor amplifier with an adjustable and stable output of up to 6 vac. It has a fixed operational range from 4.950 to 5.550 Mhz. This assembled DDS unit uses a quality, silk screened, solder masked printed circuit board (an additional, pre-programmed processor is included which may be retained as a spare). Links to my website referencing the fresh Mouser parts that I used along with step-by-step building, testing as well as explicit radio interfacing instructions for the Ten-Tec Omni (A, B, C, D), Triton, Century 21, the SB-104(A) and for the Drake TR-5 / TR-7 will be included with the purchase. Depending upon the user’s preferences, this VFO may either be installed in an outboard cabinet (recommended) or mounted within the radio itself (a bit more complicated). Check out the pictures showing a converted radio and a plug 'n play version for the Drake TR-5 / TR-7 products which require no modification to the Drake radios - none whatsoever. The DDS VFO plugs into the Drake's rear external VFO socket and - when switch activated - will electrically disable the Drake's internal PTO. It's just that simple. I've personally converted 3 Ten-Tec Omni's (internal and external mounting), an analog Triton (internal), a Corsair (external), a digital Century 21 (internal) and 3 Drake TR-7's (external cabinet - one picture shown). Others have done really exceptional conversions (note the awesome Digital Triton). At least 45 satisfied other hams are using this DDS VFO. You might want to google - K3JLS DDS VFO jimkerkoff - to read the gracious, unsolicited review provided by a ham who actually built one of these units. Once again, you are bidding an assembled and tested DDS VFO and nothing else. Depending upon how you plan to integrate this VFO into your station you'll need some switches / push buttons, an optical encoder, an (optional) enclosure, a couple of knobs, coffee and so forth. All this stuff is readily available on eBay. Integrating this DDS VFO into your favorite radio will make an interesting and satisfying winter project. Examine the attached schematic (lower right corner) for more information Will ship Priority Mail - CONUS only and no returns. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
