Description: 1998 Dean Colonel made in Boulder, Colorado. I believe it is what they called a size Large/19" but check my measurements for details. 1 1/8" steer tube. 27.2 Seatpost. 135mm rear dropout spacing, all the normal mtb specs from that era. Has the beautiful wishbone seatstay style that Moots still uses on their high end ti frames to this day. My primary mtb 1998-2006. After going to full suspension in 2006 it sat in the garage mostly. Sent back to Dean in 2013 and had decals removed, bead blasted, brushed, rear rack mount braze-ons added at seatstay and rear dropouts, brought back to new condition. Light use as commuter, gravel, and winter bike for last 10 years. Rear Rack mounts up well with the new braze-ons Includes Chris King headset with some rub marks from bikepacking bag straps. TIRIS rigid ti fork with 68mm steer tube showing, 3 accessory eyelets on each fork leg, and rack and fender mounts at dropouts. This is a beautiful and well made fork with proper geometry for the frame and handles great. Thomson seatpost collar - the best. Rainbow oil slick anodized ti bolt kit for water bottle cages, seatstay rack mounts, and fork legs look great for just a bit of color. Bike has never had any repairs and has been totally bombproof and rides beautifully, smooth and stable. Some surface scratches from chain on driveside chainstay. Other little scratches and dings from normal use, all superficial nothing structural. Please look at photos carefully.
