Description: DISCOVERING H.P. LOVECRAFT edited by DARRELL SCHWEITZER. Wildside Press, 2001. 3rd, revised edition. 25th anniversary edition. A collection of early, classic criticism of Lovecraft, including such landmarks as "A Literary Copernicus" by FRITZ LEIBER, "Notes on an Entity" by ROBERT BLOCH, "The Four Faces of the Outsider" by DIRK MOSIG, "The Derleth Mythos" by RICHARD TIERNEY, "Textual Problems in Lovecraft" by S.T. JOSHI etc. There is also an essay, taken from a letter, "On Story-Writing" by LOVECRAFT himself. My own contribution, "Lovecraft and Lord Dunsany," I will not claim is a "landmark," but people have found it useful. This edition ads a reprint of "H.P. Lovecraft: The Books" by LIN CARTER (reprinted from the Arkham House volume THE SHUTTERED ROOM), newly revised and annotated by the leading Lovecraftian scholars, S.T. JOSHI and ROBERT M. PRICE. As such it becomes the definitive guide to all the books mentioned in the Cthulhu Mythos, both real and imaginary. A NEW copy, gotten directly from the publisher. I am asking list price. WHY PAY MORE? I notice other people listing this title for more than cover price. I have no idea why. Besides which, I am the only one who can supply a SIGNED one. (Signed by myself, not by Lovecraft, obviously.) HARDCOVER BINDING. Not my other listing for the trade paperback. Always happy to combine shipments on multiple wins. Please note that the foreign postage prices are a guess. If they prove too high, I will refund the difference.
