Presented here is one of the ribbons issued to cast members and worn under their name tag or badge. Features the American bald eagle known as "Sam" (aka Eagle Sam / Uncle "Sam")... dressed in his red, white & blue finery. Originally voiced by Burl Ives. During this era, the Carousel of Progress building had been transformed into "America Sings", a special patriotic salute to the varied styles of American music in preparation for the upcoming Bicentennial celebrations in 1976. Several of these audio-animatronic birds and animals have been since relocated to other attractions within Disneyland (Star Tours, Splash Mountain, etc.). The attraction closed on April 10, 1988.
