The artist added a signature on the back side with the listed name being Dock Street Theater. Overall in good condition. The frame appears to have a like a sponge paint design. or swirl. The framed and matted art weighs approximately 4 lbs and 3 oz and the overall scale is approximately 23" H X 19" W Pastel lithograph of Historic Dock Street Theatre by Charleston artist Julia Homer Wilson (1910-2001). Dock Street Theatre opened January 12, 1736. The original Dock Street was destroyed by the Great Fire of 1740. The Planter's Hotel was built on this site and the fanciful wrought iron balcony with sandstone columns were added. The present building again opened as the Dock Street Theatre November 27 1937. DuBose Heyward (Porgy & Bess) was named writer-in-residence.
