Description: Stunning 10" jug attributed to North Carolina. In a gun-metal mirror glaze. Unmarked. Has heavy wear over time due to its age. It has a spot of discoloration near the base, glaze wear, and two sizable chunks of clay at the very far base that likely have chipped off. These, along with style and lack of mark, likely indicate late 19th or early 20th century work. 10" High 5.5" Wide Opening of jug: 0.85 "3" Handle 3.13 lbs I am not an expert on unmarked pottery but am using the information from the estate purchase I was given with historical information to guide this post.
