Description: Ornamental Echinopsis Cactus Seedling Packs PC x BBG 48.1540 - PC (Predominant Cultivar) crossed with Berkley Botanical Garden's BBG 48.1540 YOU WILL RECEIVE: Two 2" Pots, totaling over 10 cacti yearlings ranging in size from 2 to 4 inches 2023 seeds from private collector well known within the cacti community; can provide provenance on when I purchased seed if interested. Seeds were sown in early January 2024 in a single container, then separated/repotted as clumps into these 2 inch pots with cactus soil. Seedlings were moved outdoors into partial sun around July 2024, and have been receiving full sun for the last couple months. Some tips are slightly darker than others due to phenotypic variation in heat/light tolerance. They heal back to green showing no sign of distress though. These cacti are ready for immediate separating/repotting, or transplanting entire pots as stand starters. If all seedlings are separated, there's a good chance for some phenotypic variation - since these seeds were the first I had seen being listed at the time, I do not believe there is a good reference available for how they mature yet. To separate, pop the clump out of the pot and let stand in water - once fully saturated with water, light tugging should begin to separate the soil and roots Some pots contain 4-5 cacti while others have 8-10. The pots that have 8-10 cacti are a range of 2 to 4 inch cacti, while the pots that have 4-5 cacti are more uniform in size. Will be sure to include over 10 cacti in total - will try to include 12-14 cacti in total per set of two pots with a nice balance of appearance and size Whether these end up being vigorous rooters from the PC genetics, or massive in girth with glaucous blues like the BBG 48.1540, they should be interesting to watch as they push mature growth and should be extremely hardy (some of the taller tips in photos can give an idea what the mature spines should end up like).
