Description: This is a 12 channel 1964 E.F. Johnson Messenger III (model 242-143, the earliest of the 3 versions) CB radio and the matching piggyback power supply. It has been recapped, all out of spec carbon resistors replaced, all switches and controls cleaned & serviced. I also did the factory updates at the time of the full restoration. The Johnson mic is like new with a strong -46 dBv output. The receiver sensitivity is hot at .15uV@10bB, the transmitter is 3.5w carrier & 11w pep modulated. Crystals are CB channel 4. 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, & 19.
