Description: Emil Sitko Vintage Autograph Signed CutRARE Vintage cut Signature of Emil Sitko (d.1973), who played College football with Notre Dame, where Coach Frank Leahy described him “…(as) the fastest starting back I ever coached.” Sitko earned the nickname “Red” because of his red hair and the nickname, “Six-Yard Sitko” reflecting his rushing success. Sitko played three seasons in the NFL, for the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Cardinals. Sitko (1923-1973) was posthumously inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1984. From a single source collection, signed on an autograph album page trimmed 5.50 X 3.50 with a newsprint picture tipped on. Light vertical fold line. Very good condition.
