Description: A very fine etched Parisian scene depicting the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the busy plaza that fronts it that is now named Place Jean-Paul-Sartre-et-Simone-de-Beauvoir. I've been unable to decipher the signature, but this is the work of an accomplished artist. It is numbered proof, printed in black ink on laid paper, signed in pencil and numbered by the artist. The image measures approx. 9 1/2 x 7 inches, sheet size is approx. 14 x 10 inches with two deckel edges. It has the faintest hint of an old mat line and the reverse has some tape residue and a skinned spot in the margins, otherwise in fine condition and it would frame up beautifully.
