Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~*~ A BEAUTY, a really LOVELY bolt, needs a good wash and this bolt is worn ! ~ ~( please see condition below, condition reflected in the price ) ~*~ This lovely textile is a hand loomed rag rug from Europe, dating from the early 1900s. ~ Gorgeous farmhouse striped pattern and colors! ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ This textile was woven by hand and used as a floor covering. Today they are Ideal used as a hallway carpet, table runner, stair runner, place mats, bathmats, pillow and upholstery fabric, etc! ~*~ This bolt was woven with a cotton thread warp and the weft is woven with strips of various cloths! ! ~ *~ Please see photographs AND CONDITION details ( very important ) for more detail on the rag rug!~ ~*~ MEASUREMENTS : ~ This lovely piece measures about 26 inches wide by 3.25 yards long. ( because these textiles are woven by hand, there is often variation in the width on every bolt ) CONDITION : CONDITION : This rag rug is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. This bolt is very dirty and needs a wash! One end is cut ~ This bolt is worn! Its soft and worn, so ideal more for table runner or other lighter use, as a decorative piece. *~ This bolt can be either dry cleaned or This bolt can be hand washed and hung to dry also, but warning : the water will be dirty! :))) ~ They clean SO beautifully , but Im just not able to clean them all. So, the unwashed condition is reflected in the price! ~*~ Because of the way they are woven, you can display either side of the rug if there is something you dont want to see on one side! Ive sold these wonderful textiles for many years now, and have never had an unhappy customer, however its very important to know that it is necessary to dry clean or hand wash and hang to dry before it can be enjoyed!
