The basswood body here has a very balanced tone- plenty of low end with a really nice midrange cut to it. When you plug it in those direct-mounted Wolfgang Alnico 2 and 3 humbuckers suck up that gorgeous woody tone and add their own flavor. The bridge pickup has great distortion properties- plenty of gain but with character. The neck humbucker has great thick sustain but enough high mids to retain clarity.
