Description: Strong Colors - Superb Weave Excellent Condition - with only minor fading to outer lid. I believe this lidded basket that is woven in the closed wrapped twining technique and is Athabascan and is very old. The outer lid has become faded over the years so the colors are somewhat faded, but the interior of the basket lid is as bright and vibrant as when it was made. I found no damage at all to any of the weave, it is still tight and beautiful. The lid fits perfectly while keeping the round shape. Truly a basket that would be an addition to any collection. Unusually large at 9" wide and 2" high.
