But it does isolate Burkett, who played in an earlier time, and it emphasizes the rarity of his memorabilia. By way of perspective, Burkett retired (from his 16 years of ballplaying, in more than 2,000 Major League games) four years prior to the release of T206 baseball cards. He passed away in 1953, decades before the advent of anything resembling the organized hobby of today. Presented is a phenomenal signed baseball of this great player from another era.
