Description: Here is a beautiful barite crystal from Niobec mine, Le Fjord-du-Saguenay RCM, Québec, Canada. This piece features a single crystal that has a split termination where one half is lower than the upper half. The barite has been included with pyrite and has a minor dusting on the surface which produces a slightly glittery effect in those areas. The faces range from lustrous to matte and the crystal has chisel terminations. The barite from this locale formed on the ceiling of the pocket so many crystals came out with damaged terminations from falling during extraction. This one was a lucky one that came out in good condition. A beautiful specimen from this seldom referenced locale! Available from my personal collectionDimensions: 7.7 by 4.3 by 2.6 cm
