Description: Flat Peak Newel Cap - 930 Style, For 3" Square Newel Posts, HardwoodAvailable in poplar, red oak, white oak, walnut, cherry, clear alder, knotty alder, and maple.Our caps are made to fit somewhat loosely over a 3 inch newel to allow for leveling and varying newel posts. Caps can be stained, painted, or clear finished then secured with epoxy, wood glue, construction adhesive, or finish nails. Some sanding may be required.Dimensions of the cap: 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" x 1-1/2" thick (tall).Caps slide onto your newel post about 3/4", but if that's too much, you can include a 1/4" to 1/2" piece of wood inside the cap to keep it from sliding down too far on your newel.Made in the USA by Bonneville Manufacturing.
