Stellar Award winners are selected based on which accomplishments hold the greatest promise for furthering future activities in space, the extent to which the nominee played a key role in the accomplishment, and the extent to which the nominee meets the goal of recognizing heroes of the American space program. Mr. Withey was the Program Manager for Space Flight Tools and Equipment at Oceaneering Space Systems for 40 years where he and his team conceived, designed, fabricated, tested, and delivered many of the tools astronauts use on space walks including the Hubble Space Telescope Tool Repair Kit, satellite rescue devices, and various tools for repairing Shuttle launch damage while in orbit. Book is in Very Good condition little wear or shelf wear. There are a few flecks of brown spots on the top of the text block, otherwise covers and pages are square, clean, bright, and unmarked except for author's inscription and signature. Binding is sound.
