Today it is a multi-use building with a hotel, restaurant, Arts Center Museum, and gift shop much like it's intended use when it was built for Harold Price and Company. Price Tower is a designated National Historic Landmark Building. This book is entirely composed of measured drawings conducted for the Historic American Buildings Survey. These drawings were recently done by Carissa Brown with the assistance of Ambler Architects. The HABS originated during the Great Depression. It was a WPA project started to employ starving Architects and draftsmen to document the greatest historic buildings of America. The program is ongoing today often using Architectural College teams from various Universities. The pages contain high resolution black line drawings on Cream paper. Our publishing company developed a unique computer program to restore the line weight and density to make the original drawings look exceptionally dark after the reduction process from large drawing sheets to book size pages.
