You will receive fresh eggs that were laid within the same 2-3 days of each other. Some eggs may not be related unless instructed by you to do otherwise. Be cautious of anyone selling Emu eggs for less. We have done this before and have priced our eggs where they need to be. Anyone selling any cheaper either is getting rejected eggs from Emu farmers or seconds (for example an Emu farmer didn't collect the egg in time and it froze in the nest because emu's don't sit on the eggs until they are all laid and they are normally from a much warmer climate where their instincts are not there to protect the eggs from freezing) or just doesn't understand the market to sell their eggs to make it worth the trouble, therefore they would be new to this and lacking a lot of well needed experience when choosing and shipping emu eggs for shipping and hatching. Color of chick is not guaranteed. Eggs are not guaranteed to incubate successfully. There are variables that are out of our control. During the cold months especially if eggs freeze then thaw along the route to your location they will not hatch, even if they only froze for a short time and you were not aware of it. We ship priority mail for two reasons, one so that you can get your egg in 2-3 days and two so that the box is not sitting in one place long and is on the move in case of freezing temperatures the box will not be exposed long to the elements and either inside a building or delivery truck. Emu eggs have to be collected shortly after they are laid. As the example given above, this is to avoid eggs freezing during the winter months. Emu eggs are expensive and the risk is higher for you so keep this in mind that you are attempting to hatch Emu eggs they not regular chicken eggs. We have had a lot of success. We do our best to give you the best chances to lower the risks, but there are still no guarantee on hatching. If you would like to pick up your eggs in person that can be arranged. If you intend to do that let us know ahead of time before placing your order. Incubation temperatures and procedures need to be followed precisely. We recommend using an incubator with a circulation fan in addition to just a heater. Emu eggs are large so it is important to have even heating from top to bottom as possible. That is why a circulation fan is important in your incubator. Make sure you have an incubator that is high enough inside so that the heating coil will not "burn" the top portion of the eggs. This will cause the eggs not to develop. We take great care to insure as much as possible that your eggs leave here with the best chances. Incubation success is out of our control. For Emu Egg purchases during laying season we will collect and ship them as soon after the transaction is paid for as possible due to laying schedules. For pre-sale orders before laying season we will ship eggs once they start laying and in order as received. We incubate our own as well so we can keep track of the hatching rate. Eggs are unwashed and natural and placed and protected as much as possible in the boxes using Emu egg shipping foam designed for Emu eggs or wrapped in protective packing well enough for shipping. Please do not wash the eggs as this will reduce your changes of a successful hatch. Have your incubator ready and running so you can place them in right away after resting the egg. Please check to make sure you have your incubator set to the correct temperature and humidity.
