It makes me wonder what BH had in his PRIMARY collection which was auctioned off. Remember, all these items are from backup collections and duplicates. The card is excellent condition. The cancel is string on the 7, a bit weak on the 6.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The name Bradley Horton should be familiar to my followers. He was a major collector of both mainstream Postal Stationery, as well as a "flyspecker" who collected every minor variety he could find. In addition, he steamed up every "tributary" of this river, including postmarks, destinations, advertising, supplementary markings, unusual usages, and even "somewhat non-stationery" items like meters, Patriotic Covers....just about anything that caught his interest. When he died in 2017, age 80, he had accumulated a few house-fulls of material. No kidding. Whenever he filled up a house with Postal Stationery, he just bought another house. I was told that 12 tons on envelopes were sold thru European auctions. The cards were sold here in he U.S., bounced around from auction house to dealer to auction house, and some of them found their way into my hands. Even after being picked thru several times, these lots still had plenty of juice. TO OFFER HIS MATERIAL, I CREATED A NEW CATEGORY in my eBay store, just for his items. So many of them could easily fit into multiple categories. Basic used, postmarks, machine cancels, hand cancels, slogan cancels, illustrated advertising, EFOs, shades & varieties, Mailer's Permits, Supplemental markings...it almost never stops. Some of you might find it interesting just to read the descriptions. I promise, there are many varieties in this auction, and in later months, which aren't listed in any of the catalogs.
