In 1987, the company relocated from Nashville, where humidity was unstable, and began supplying all Gibson acoustic guitars in 1989. This instrument is the 50s J-45 Original, which is a reproduction of the 50s specifications that featured the popular large pickguard. This style was adopted from the mid-50s to the late 60s, and is still one of the most popular J-45 looks.
