Description: This is a vintage Gladding McBean Saucer from Franciscan Ware in the mid-century modern Oasis Starburst pattern. It has a blue and black design on a speckled eggshell ceramic saucer plate with indent for a coffee/tea cup. The diameter is 6" at its widest, and 5-5/8" across the other way. It is a slightly oval shape. The saucer is made of ceramic material and has a printed back stamp that reads "FRANSISCAN MADE IN CALIFORNIA U. S. A. COLOR-SEAL GLADDING MCBEAN & CO. You can see the three dots that are where it sat on a tripod in the kiln when it was fired. It weighs 7 ounces and has a height of 3/4". This listing includes only the saucer and not the matching teacup. This saucer is an original vintage piece from the 1950s, manufactured in the United States. It is perfect for collectors or anyone who appreciates unique and retro decorative cookware, dinnerware, and serve ware in the mid-century modern style. The saucer is in excellent condition.
