They ARE however, real metal, extremely detailed, and are beautifully crafted for a promo item. Some of the metal may have slight tarnishing to the top or bottom of each orb just from nearly 25 year age of them of course. I will personally open and inspect each of these remaining ones inventory to make sure you get a nice pair. Comes with soft, purple satin storage pouch with gold rope tie.
