I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These novels are in good overall ranging to very good conditions, all with attached spines and great or better inside pages (photo#12 examples). The only significant flaw resides with Volume 3 in the form of an edge ding; the other two volumes have relatively few signs of general wear. Due to eBay's 12 photo limit, with lots involving multiple books, I am not able to show the detailed looks I try to maintain, so if you would like any extra photos of a specific description/book, feel free to let me know! Any reference to certain areas of books can be seen in the photos above. The sections are:*Photo#4: Upper spine corner*Photo#5 (w/illumination): Lower spine corner*Photo#6: Front cover top edge/outer corner*Photo#7: Front cover bottom edge/outer corner*Photo#8: Back cover top edge/outer corner*Photo#9: Back cover bottom edge/outer corner Abbreviations Glossary (I've been listing more and more of my books and thought this would save some time..)*USC: Upper spine corner*LSC: Lower spine corner*FTOC: Front cover's top outer corner*FBOC: Front cover's bottom outer corner*BTOC: Back cover's top outer corner*BBOC: Back cover's bottom outer corner ***Vol 1: Very good condition, excellent inside pages, few and lesser signs of almost entirely external wear. USC has light scuffing along it with a tiny scuff where it meets the back cover. LSC has a tiny scuff where it meets the back cover. Front covers' top and bottom edges have very light to light shelf-scuffing along them. Back cover's top edge has a small scuff near its middle, bottom edge has very light shelf-scuffing. FTOC and BBOC have minimal wear. FBOC has a tiny scuff that goes lightly thru ~20 pages. BTOC has a tiny scuff/crease that goes lightly thru ~10 pages. Back cover has a small/light depression near its center. Spine adhesive is beginning to lose its effectiveness where it meets at the first cover page, but is still attached. ***Vol 2: Good to very good condition, excellent inside pages, few and lesser signs of almost entirely external wear. USC has light scuffing, with a small scuff where it meets the back cover. LSC has a tiny indent where it meets the back cover, shows lightly on the hardcover below. Front cover's top edge has ~2" of light scuffing/nearby very light jacket indent near the spine corner. Back cover's top edge has light scuffing/flaring/curling from its middle to the outer corner, with a light ~1/2" ding/depression near its center. Both covers' bottom edges have light shelf-scuffing if any. FBOC and BTOC possess tiny indents that show lightly on the hardcovers below. FTOC and BBOC have minimal wear. Back jacket has three ~1/2" light indents/scratches spread around its center. ***Vol 3: Good overall condition, with very good to great inside pages. It does possess one moderate edge ding, with a few lighter corner ones. USC and LSC have some scuffing/tiny indents at them, each with a ~1/2" indent/depression around where they meet on the back cover that show on the hardcovers below. Tiny indents where they meet the front covers that show lightly on the hardcovers. Front and back covers' top edges have some shelf-scuffing/light curling along them, each with a ~1/2" ding/indent near their middles (photo#10 w/illumination). The ding is more prominent on the back cover, and both continue onto the hardcovers below. Front's shows as a small/light indent on ~25 pages, back's continues thru ~1/2 pages starting as a small indent/depression and shrinking to a tiny scuff as it goes. Both covers' bottom edges have light levels of shelf-scuffing. BTOC has a ~1/2" crease/indent/ding, it goes thru pages as a light bend, and most as an indent. It presents itself on the FTOC as a small crease/indent/ding. FBOC and BBOC both possess small creases/indents/dings that show lightly on the hardcovers below. BBOC has an additional light ~1/2" crease around the jacket. Front and back jackets have some light shelf-scuffing/scratching around, most prominently near/along their spine edges, and in a ~4.5" vertical streak on the back jacket. Back jacket has a light ~3/4" indent near its center, and another adjacent to where the top edge's ding is. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots. If you have any questions or would like any additional photos, feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs - either message me before completing purchase for a pre-payment price adjustment, or alternatively I can provide a refund afterwards. Thanks, and have a tremendous day!
