Description: If you’ve ever been to the Grand Floridian Hotel, you may have noticed a set of wooden doors in the foyer leading to Citricos Restaurant. Behind those unassuming doors is one of the most exclusive - and expensive - restaurants in Walt Disney World: Victoria & Albert's, recipient of the AAA 5 Diamond Award and the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award. The price isn’t the only thing that will take your breath away in this restaurant: from the harpist playing throughout your 3 1/2-hour dinner; the innovative, lovingly prepared, delicious 7 or 10 course meal; the rose presented to you or your loved one; the gift of chocolates to take with you, and finally, to the personalized menu of your meal, reminding you of a very special evening. Each menu, with a different dinner selection every evening, is printed with the name of the recipient and the date of the meal and is given to each guest at the end of the dinner. The menu presented here represents a dinner served on January 15, 2004, along with a wine pairing for that meal. The menu is on parchment paper and is attached to black almost velvety heavy stock paper that is matte black. The menu is folded envelope-style with “Victoria and Albert's” printed in gold letters on the front and the diner’s name is printed in black on the back flap with gold lettered “Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa” on the inside flap. As the meal was prepaid there were no prices noted on the menu; however, as the “Royal Pairing” was an option, the price was listed on that menu. Each menu measures approximately 17 5/8” long and 10” wide. The restaurant is named for Queen Victoria and her beloved Prince Albert. Affixed to the menu envelope flap, is an intertwined V and A. The interior and exterior of the menu is immaculate. If your hobby is collecting Disney menus, then this would be a wonderful - and rare - addition to your collection.
