Description: Verreries des Hanots A beautiful French art deco lamp made around 1930 in wrought iron with a globe in molded-pressed glass attributed to Verreries des Hanots. This model shade with butterflies and flowers is never signed. It was produced by Hanots, like Verlys one of the brands of the large Holophane glass factories and was frequently used by Hettier et Vincent for their lighting fixtures. But of course Hanots sold the shades to many other producers of art deco lighting as well. I could not find out which blacksmith made the mount of the lamp on offer. The forging is of excellent quality. The lamp is in very good condition. The iron has a nice deep-brown patina in a subtle egg gloss. The lamp has a height of 21,6 cm (8-1/2") and a diameter of 18,2 cm. The lamp is rewired with new twisted rayon covered cord, new plug and switch. It is equipped with a European E14 socket. For the USA Canada or Japan I will place an American candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug. ***Check out over 400 other French art deco lamps in my shop. 89130145B20
