Description: This is a model 32E generator made from1932 to 1938 for Knucklehead and Flathead Harleys. It has the round body with no flat spot in the casting, as used on early bikes of that era. I have gone through the unit and refurbished it, replacing those parts that are worn and unusable and rejuvenating those that still have service life left in them..I've been refurbishing Harley generators for 40 years and my philosophy is to clean, repair, and refurbish original equipment parts where feasible. If it was made in the usa by skilled workmen in the 40's and 50's and can be restored with a little TLC, there's no reason it can't provide reliable service for another 40 years. Armatures are turned polished and sealed in a dielectric, fields are cleaned and re wrapped and bearings and seals are replaced with new units.The generator is shown on my test jig where I can put finished units to test.The unit can be furnished with a drive gear suitable for use on flathead motors at no additional cost.
