Description: Complete Harry Potter First Signature UK Edition Set published by Bloomsbury in 2011! Seven first printing copies. Comes with original cardboard laminated slipcase laminated in very good condition (not fine), generally intact but with slits repaired with binders tape and fraying. There is a lot of information here. Please read ALL of the following before buying or asking questions. NOT Raincoast/Canadian, and NOT Australian. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (black boards, aka Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), HP and the Chamber of Secrets (red boards), HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban (green boards), HP and the Goblet of Fire (orange boards), HP and the Order of the Phoenix (purple boards), HP and the Half-Blood Prince (magenta/red boards), HP and the Deathly Hallows (dark blue boards) by J.K. Rowling, cover artwork on front and back of the dust jackets by Clair Melinsky. Hardcover First UK Signature Edition - First Printings London: Bloomsbury, 2011. Unpriced copies, probably for the export market. All copies essentially Fine in Fine Dust Jackets, a nearly perfect unread copies save a hint of toning to the jackets, probably because of the white color. A beautiful near-perfect set. My guess is probably between only 20,000 to 25,000 copies were issued. (true first editions, Bloomsbury, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007 respectively) SPECIAL NOTE on Edition: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling was first released in 1997 by Bloomsbury UK in a print-run for the hardcover trade edition in only 500 copies and 5150 trade paperbacks. A copy of the hardcover issue sold recently for nearly $500,000. The first signature hardcover printings are a nice alternative, the second non-deluxe edition to be released in a trade first printings of each title after the first edition of 1997 and the adult editions of 2004-7. NOTE on book club editions of HP boooks: There are a lot of book club copies of this and other Harry Potter titles for sale which a lot of sellers believe are "first editions" because they have some issue points which are similar to the first trade editions. In terms of HP and the Sorcerer's Stone, these copies lack the diamond design on the boards, they lack a printed price on the dust jacket, and the boards are a dark red color. Do not pay anymore than about $25 for such copies. They have no premium value and if someone tried to resell such a copy to a first edition specialist, it would be declined most likely. NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers.ALSO: The picture is of the actual item for sale. (The picture is NOT a stock photo.) IMPORTANT NOTE: All sales are generally FINAL. I do NOT accept returns because of buyer's remorse, "it was a gift but the recipient already had it", or "I found the same book at a better price". I am not selling new items to compete with other retailers. Returns are only accepted because of discrepancies regarding edition and/or condition of which I try to be very thorough in researching the edition/printing as well as describing ALL condition issues. So make sure you're 100% positive you desire one of my items before making a purchase. NOTE on USPS Shipping:$75.00 priority mail, $165 rest of the world. I tend to ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays sometimes on Friday. I do not ship on Saturdays and Sundays. NOTE on FEEDBACK: If you have problem with an order for any reason, please contact me before leaving feedback! 99% of the time we can resolve the problem. It is much more difficult to change feedback once left.A Word on First Editions: 95% of my offerings are trade editions, and 90% of those are first printings. In general I do NOT sell bookclub editions or cheap reprints like Modern Library except in rare instances which would be explicitly stated as such. In general, I also DO NOT sell x-library copies. If the book is both a first edition AND a first printing, it will be marked as “first edition” in the Item Specifics under “Special Attributes”, otherwise assume a later printing or a later edition. NOTE on USPS Shipping: The US Post has graciously increased their rates! I ship on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays sometimes on Friday. I do not ship on Mondays and Saturdays.FREE shipping and confirmation in the U.S. only via media mail (1-3 weeks). Make sure your current address is on Ebay and/or Paypal! All books are bubble-wrapped, and those costing over $50 will be placed in a box. My shipping costs are slightly more than others because I use dust jacket covers, bubble-wrap, and boxes. The extra $1 or so is worth it to protect your book!FYI, media mail is a discount shipping rate for books and CD's. It is not the same as first class mail, and you can't expect items to arrive in the same time frame. They typically take 1 1/2 to 3 weeks. Items shipped media mail take longer than a letter which is first class.PLEASE contact me if you would like a reduction in shipping costs for multiple purchases sent to a single address. (not always possible with international shipping.)ATTENTION Canadian and International customers: $19.50 international priority mail with required tracking. (I now require international tracking on all items over $50) There may be a delay, sometimes an additional 1 to 8 weeks, if your package is inspected by your country's custom's inspectors. I cannot be responsible (and I have no control over) delays due to customs inspections. It is best to find out your country's policies in this regard.Any further questions, please email me. I try my very best to accurately describe condition. Disputes in condition of items must be resolved within 15 days of shipment of item. Track Page Views With Auctiva's FREE Counter
