Description: Hartford, CT - A. B. Fuller - Magic Washing Compound - TRADE CARD - Fuller Brush: The Fuller Brush Company sells branded and private label products for personal care as well as commercial and household cleaning. It was founded in 1906 by Alfred Fuller. Consolidated Foods, now Sara Lee Corporation, acquired Fuller Brush in 1968. In 1991, the company was placed in private ownership but, in 1994, it became a subsidiary of CPAC Inc., which from 2007–2012 was owned by the private equity group Buckingham Capital Partners. From December 2012 through Dec 2017, the Fuller Brush Company was owned and operated by David Sabin and Victory Park Capital. Since January 2018, the Fuller Brush Company has been owned and operated by Galaxy Brush LLC, located in Lakewood, New Jersey. This 2¾" x 4" Victorian Trade Card promotes a Fuller detergent called the "Magic Washing Compound", using the image of a girl playing on a swing in a white dress, which presumably would make clean the dress. The card is in good condition.
