Description: Original Vintage Leather Herman Miller Mid Century Modern Aluminum Group Office Lounge Chair. Swivel Base. Early Eames Era. Complete chair is in original condition with no repairs or refurbishing. Pricing is relective of all original condition. Shipping is now available for this item. Year is: Early 1960's. This style chair began production as early as 1962 and believed to be 62 based upon the 4 pronged legs, the caps on the feet, the black rod/swivil that goes from the base of the chair to the chair itself. Projected Age: 60 years. VERY SOLID CHAIR. ALL PARTS ORIGINAL TO CHAIR ARE THERE. VERY STURDY. NO SHAKES OR WOBBLES AND SPINS VERY WELL. I've had the chair in my pocession since the late 1990's which was around 98 or 99. Color: Very Rare Deep Military Green, Dark Forrest Green. (If chair is not in direct light or at night; looks Black.Material: Aluminum and Leather Comfort: Wow! It is no doubt this timeless chair has been in production since the 1950's. Very comfortable and has been in my home office as a side chair for years. Looks great in home office or even in living / den with other Mid Century Modern Furniture. Condition: Good Condition. Very Good Condition when you compare to other original 60 year old chairs like this one. Chair is in original condition and has not been refurbished or altered.Leather: In very good condition. There are no tears or rips in the leather. Mildly used as there a no large surface discolorations or wears in the chair. The only real signs of wear are around each of the corners where the chair is wrapped on each of the 4 rounded corners. See Pictures for more info. Very unlikely to find original leather chair with leather this good when original. Aluminum on upper chair: Please see the pictures. Like many of the Aluminum Group Lounge Chairs with arms; the plastic coating has worn off the hand/arm areas of the chairs. I've heard most people remove this. I never did so keeping the chair in the original condition. The arms are bolted very well to the chair. Aluminum on bottom of chair:The aluminum base has not been attempted to be cleaned as I've never wanted to alter the chair and never got around to doing anything to it. Base could use cleaning up a bit. Black Post connecting top of chair to base: Black and has a little rust on one area. Nothing serious. Again keeping chair in original condition never really visible and not much there. Could be sanded lightly and repainted easily enough. Base: 4 Prone swivel base. Has all 4 white plastic caps on the bottom of chair. Original to the chair.
