Description: One of a kind clock built by Frank Herschede and sons of Cincinnati Ohio. This Pattern 214, is the 29th one built. The style is Art Nouveau Bungalow hall clock. The Serial number is 8551. The clock has a "C" face custom hand painted moon phase diel. It has a 3 train movement with correct weights and pendulum. The weights are lined with original intact copy's of the Cincinnati Gillette news paper from December 1919. This clock is the only 6 chime/tube with a Canterbury song 214 ever seen or written about that can be found too date. Custom features included solid side Mahogany case, C face, custom moon phase, 6 tube movement, Canterbury chime. The door plate reads Panama Pacific International Exposition 1915 Grand Champion Prize! This award was for the pattern 214 in 1915. It was used as a sales tool on all subsequent pattern 214's The actual Herschede records log shows' this clock was custom ordered by Henry Binks and sons of Montréal Canada and shipped December 18 1919 to there main store in Canada. It is believed Frank Herschede custom built this clock for his contemporary Henry Binks as a courtesy for which he was well known. Again, I believe this clock to be one of a kind!
