Description: Hieronymus Bosch Portfolio Edition (1956, Henry N. Abrams) With Color Plates (Text by Lotte Brand Philip) - Throw yourself into Bosch's Surrealism with this 24-page booklet published almost 70-years ago. The book, which measures approx. 10" x 13", is in Very Good condition. The cover, and all pages which are cream colored, are firmly attached. Both the front and back covers sport a light plastic covering - which does have some nicks, dings, and tears in various areas. The front cover top right-hand edge has an approx. 1/16" nick, the spine has about a handful of stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/2" near the center, the top left-hand corner has an approx. 1/8" crease, the bottom left-hand corner has what appears to be printer's ink; the inside first page has '$10- S&D' written in pencil at the top right-hand corner; the back cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 1" crease, the spine has some stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/4" at the bottom corner. Special note: the inside back flap lists 10 color plates. However, it appears that might have been a misprint...there are only references to nine plates and that is the number included.
