Description: This listing is for a quilt pattern and instructions for a stunning Hawaiian Hula Dancer; she is dancing on the beach sand, right at the ocean's edge. The directions call for needle-turn applique' (hand quilting), but many love to use fusing and machine stitch edges (Raw Edge applique). The pattern directions create an 11" x 11" fabric block and also explains how to add borders and backing if you are making a pillow with a finished measurement of 18" x 18". Instructions are also included to enlarge the pattern at a print shop so you can make a 42" x 42" quilt. This pattern calls for ten (10) to eleven different watercolor batik fabrics. Of course, you can use any type of fabric in your design. You don't have to use batiks, but they add a very tropical feel to your creation! As you can see, you can have fun choosing different fabrics and creating very different looks.
