Description: Hello ! Up for sale is an excellent single cut style guitar from Hutchins …. the AL-1 ! Born in the same country as the birthplace of Marshall amplification, England. This guitar has similar terrific build quality ! And it's the most affordable Hutchins guitar we've seen anywhere online! But don't let the insane price point fool you .... this instrument is a FINE piece of craftsmanship for an Epiphone price ! It is one BEAUTIFUL piece of art work ! From afar, aside from its unique, small bodied single cut design (there IS a little bit of an upper bout on this guitar that attaches around the 16th fret, but I think it is classified as a single cut) is subtle, maybe even understated? But up close, you see the gorgeous cherry red tiger stripe pattern that the artists at Hutchins snuck on to the body of the guitar! I love it ! Plus, it's got a terrific looking neck binding that you would expect from a guitar that is several hundreds of dollars more expensive! And AT THE VERY LEAST, this sub $500 guitar has a set neck ! It might even be one piece of wood .... I can't find an attachment seam for the life of me. (However, I will not represent it as a single piece body ... like I said, let's just call it a set neck at the least!) Sounds great, too ! Just like a single cut, PRS or Les Paul style guitar does ! With the twin retro artec humbucking pickups in the neck and the bridge positions, this guitar can even twang on the bridge pickup if you play that country/bluegrass style on it ! No coil splitting capability required ! And of course, flick the 3 position toggle switch to either the neck or middle position, and you've got that terrific singing sound that you would expect from the aforementioned similar models! Great for when you buckle down on solos and leads! The volume and tone knobs are both very responsive. And when you turn the volume knob down, your signal cleans up very nicely, just like with an expensive, high quality guitar ! I believe THIS is one proper electric ! And it plays really well, too … just like an LP or PRS style guitar should ! The lower bout is cut really low, so you can REALLY get some great reach on those upper, higher frets! We lowered the action at the stock bridge and tailpiece to really improve the out of the box action. It is a great player now, without any fret buzzing that we can find anywhere on the neck ! The intonation is pretty much spot on out of the box. Really helps with tuning stability, along with the tuners. And how many guitarists will you see on stage or even at home with a made in the UK Hutchins guitar? This one is brand new. It's only been handled to be fully tested and have pictures taken. Think of it as another layer of discriminating quality control from a gigging musician! So you don't have to worry about the hassle of returns, unlike with the big box stores! So be one of the few and grab this great instrument before someone else does …. you might not see another one for sale on the bay again, or at least for a long time !
