Description: This classical Civil War era Militia sword shows no visible markings. It is identical to several different swords I surveyed via internet/reference books produced by the Henderson-Ames Co., Kalamazoo, MI. The sword's scabbard appears to be fraternal in nature and is identified "Fred Jonathan Green" engraved on the outer surface between two applied hardware decorations as can be seen in pics. The sword's grip appears to be fluted bone. The blade is smooth and dark from age. Brass hwd. shows normal age patina commensurate with CW era. See pics for condition.
