Description: Illinois Burlington Watch Co. Grade 106 Model 9 16 Size Gold Filled Pocket Watch ca. 1916. This antique Illinois Burlington grade 106, model 9, 16 size, open face pocket watch has a gold filled case measuring approximately 50mm in diameter x 2 1/2 inches long including bow. The case back has an engraved guilloche finish with foliage and a plaque for personalizing. The cases engraving has worn with age and is not a defined as it once was. The case overall has light wear, a light patina near the stem and is in good vintage condition. The front and back remove and replace properly with good threading. The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals, a red 5-minute track, light spade/whip hands, a double sunk seconds register at six o'clock and is marked "Burlington". The dial has a hairline near eleven but is in otherwise good vintage condition. The crystal has light surface wear. The nickel movement is stamped "Burlington Watch Co. Chicago - 19 Jewels - Adjusted To Temperature & Positions - 3004419". All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition. Stem wind, lever set. This watch is running.
