Description: Infinity rs-325 Reference Monitor Speakers. Just have been professionally refoamed and thoroughly inspected. Impeccable looking and sounding! One of the greatest pairs you can find. These are the extremely highly regarded monitors from early-mid 90's Infinity's. This is my second such pair I've owned in the last 5 years - I liked them so much, I bought this model twice. Gorgeous, vintage cool looks in their oak veneer, matched with the signature infinity black screens is just the beginning. There are tons of stuff written online about this particular model - audioreviewdotcom and audiokarmadotorg being some of them - and they deliver on every promise! From wonderful, enormous soundstage, to perfect sound representation, their drivers sing beautifully. One of my all time favourite speakers I ever owned. They can be listened to for days without causing fatigue, rather flat, just as they sound - as opposing to brighter Infinities from that era which are also very good but require a treblle reduction. Over the years I try to purchase only speakers/monitors that are widely known to be at least very, very good sounding. These monitors became rare through the years, especially in this condition and color and my guess is they will increase in collectors value steadily as the years progress as few and fewer will be saved and available. For best performance, I've found, they need to be placed few feet away from walls on separate stands and about 6 to 8 feet apart depending on the size of the room. Also, the best is to use them in a stereo with a dedicated receiver/amp rather than surround system with multiple speakers. I've tried them in D'appolito configuration with other speakers in an array configuration and the result is even better than their solo performance. They would work very well with other Infinities, ADS, Monitor Audio, Martin Logans, Boston Acoustics to name a few. Their range starts from 65Hz - you can use sub for lower range requirements. They are rated for frequency response up to 25kHz, at 20 to 150W per channel. Specs: (1) 6.5" mid-bass graphite extruded driver, (1) polycell 0.75" tweeter.Crossover frequency 3.3kHzSensitivity 92dB.Weight - ~ 12lb each. If you power them properly with a very good receiver/amp these will melt your knees. Add good quality wires and lossless audio files and there's a high chance you'd be shocked even more. For what they offer, they are better than a whole bunch collectible speakers which sell for way more and most definitely better than many, many current model monitors and vintage ones alike, when tested against, Focal, Adam, Alesis, Kali, Advent, AR, Epicure, KLH, JBL, KEF, Wharfedale, ADS, Braun, Dahlquist, PSB, Polk, Klipsch, Dynaudio, NHT, Boston Acoustics, Genesis, Electrovoice etc. I actually liked them better than speakers 4 times the price when compared. I've had them for not too long but now it's time to stop hoarding and let them go for someone else to appreciate and love. They have tweeters which are extremely good for whole day play without causing any fatigue.
