JABO Joker Hybrid Marble: Crispy Bacon Mica

Description: JABO Joker Hybrid Marble Crispy Bacon MicaMINTRun Date: 4/28/10 These Joker Hybrids are a classic run during the period of time when Dave was experimenting with new materials. Aventurine and Mica were exploratory materials that were used as design features in very creative ways by the JABO Team. The variety of Hybrid designs are a testament to the genius of Dave McCullough. The general color scheme of this marble includes a nice combination of turquoise, navy blue, baby blue, emerald green and oxblood. The spectacular rainbow color palette is complemented by some outstanding sparkling mica material that really add pop and sizzle to this Hybrid marble. Micas are a group of silicate minerals whose outstanding physical characteristic is that individual mica crystals can easily be split into extremely thin elastic plates giving the marble various reflective sites for a sparkling effect. The way this Mica has rough edges with waves reminds me of a crispy piece of bacon, so there you have it...a Crispy JABO Joker Hybrid marble. lol I try to rotate the marbles and take pictures from multiple angles with my DSLR camera with flash. This way, you see exactly what you are getting. I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is 0.729". Note 1: I am experimenting with a new light source and that is the reason for the large rectangular reflection in the marble (not any flaw of the marble). My apologies for the inconvenience. Also, please be aware that some of the mica reflections may look like flaws, but this marble is mint and has no flaws.
