Description: This item is a Japanese cultivar of Ipomoea nil, which is a variant of the chestnut brown cultivar 'Danjuro'. Points for admiration are amazingly large flowers showing deep purple color. Some of the flowers showed subtle light patterns, which add to its beauty. The leaves are dragonfly type. Since this was a spontaneous variant of Danjuro, it might revert back to the brown flower. I will be growing it again to see how it performs. This cultivar should provide you with much joy when the vines flower up between late July and August. This cultivar is a good seed maker. In fact, each capsule regularly produced 8 large seeds instead of the usual 4 seeds we see produced in other Ipomoea nil cultivars. Definitely a plus for you. Please be aware that the plant's flowers are open pollinated. There is a small chance for cross-pollination. I will combine items to save on shipping cost. Please contact me before paying and I will send you an invoice. I am unable to send seeds outside the USA; I can ship items only to addresses within the USA.
