Description: This lovely Japanese color woodblock print is a portrait of woman reading a letter by Kitagawa Utamaro (circa 1750-1806), one of the most celebrated Japanese artists of the Edo age. The original of this portrait was created in 1790s. This is the later print from the 20th century. The artwork is laid on thin board with gold tone edging. It measures approx. 10 3/4” x 9 1/2”.
