Description: Vintage Dallmeyer London Rapid Rectilinear 15x12 brass lens, US Patent 1868, with a serial #19155. It covers 15x12", as the name suggests. The lens measures 4" in length, the front is 2.75" in diameter, the back is 3.25" in diameter, and the thread on the aluminum rear flange that it comes with is 3" in diameter. The glass shows separation around the edges on both sides. Other than that it looks good with no scratches, minimal marks, no haze or fungus. There is still a large middle area that is completely clear, and I was able to get surprisingly sharp and contrasty test images on my digital camera with lots of stacked extension tubes (this is a large format lens, so the register distance is quite long). So not ideal but still very much useable, in my opinion, and should a blast to use on a large format camera. Cosmetically there are no noticeable scratches. there is a small dent in the front ring. Please see pictures for details. It comes with a screw-on rear flange but no lens board.
